Title: Clinical Biostatisitician

Genomic Health is seeking an exceptional individual with strong statistical and computational skills to develop and validate multi-gene assays to enable better treatment decisions for patients with cancer. The Clinical Biostatistician participates in the design, analysis, reporting, and publication of studies associating gene expression with clinical outcomes in patients from controlled clinical trials and observational studies in oncology. These studies span multiple phases of clinical biomarker discovery and development, from gene selection and algorithm development to clinical validation trials and studies to demonstrate clinical utility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ph.D. in Biostatistics/Statistics or comparable demonstrated technical ability
• Normally a minimum of 2 years’ experience in academia or industry
• Sound knowledge of theoretical and applied statistics
• Strong verbal, writing, and presentation skills
• Experience designing and analyzing time to event data from clinical trials or epidemiology studies, or experience analyzing high dimensional data, preferably genomic data
• Strong statistical analysis skills in SAS and/or R
• Able to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary study team, and to interact with internal collaborators on study design, analysis methods, and interpretation of study results
• Able to prioritize and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality

· Desirable qualifications: Oncology experience, in-depth knowledge of survival analysis and epidemiological methods, experience in publishing in peer-reviewed scientific journals
