APBC 2016 Overview




What is APBC?
The Asia Pacific Bioinformatics Conference (APBC) series is an annual international forum for exploring research, development and novel applications in the field of Bioinformatics. The aim of APBC is to bring together academia and industry to share knowledge and experiences, and to showcase innovations and achievements. It has been held since 2003 around Asia Pacific Regions (please refer to the Previous Conferences section).

APBC 2016
APBC is holding its fourteenth annual meeting in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area January 11-13th 2016. The conference venue South San Francisco Conference Center is conveniently located in the heart of the biotech region, minutes from San Francisco Airport and 15 minutes from downtown San Francisco. San Francisco Bay Area is in the Pacific Time Zone.

Oral Presentation Program
APBC 2016 features five world-recognized leaders in bioinformatics field as keynote speakers . Oral presentation will be selected from submitted papers. Accepted papers will be invited to be published in certain peer reviewed journals. Please refer to the Call for Papers and Instruction for Authors sections for more details and submission instructions.

Posters
Poster program invites abstract submission related to a broad range of bioinformatics topics. Poster abstract submission deadline is October 5th 2015. More details please refer to the Call for Poster section.

Short Courses
APBC 2016 is offering 4 half-day short courses on Sunday January 10th, 2016, taught by leading researchers and professors from Stanford University, University of California at Berkeley and Tsinghua University. The topics include: RNA sequencing, machine learning, precision medicine and big data techniques in genomics. For more course details, please visit the Short Courses page.
