Description
The candidate must have engineering and statistical
background with a passion for collecting and analyzing SW quality and process
metrics. The job requires a demonstrated specialist in metrics, their use and
misuse. The candidate must be able to dig into the data from numerous sources
and provide an assessment and/or hypothesis on what is happening, what should
be done next and/or provide a recommendation on a solution. The candidate should
have SW quality modeling experience. Knowledge in SW development processes and
some of the metrics used to assess code quality is critical. Must be
comfortable going after a solution when none is clear by digging into large set
of data and exploring areas not recommended by others (thinking outside the
box).
The ideal candidate provides a demonstrated ability to work
with related technologies and projects, and possess advanced analytical,
communication and Presentation skills. In this role, business-level &
project management understanding, judgment, and the ability to guide a teamÕs
direction are essential.
While understanding, analyzing and modeling complex concepts
is critical in this job, being able to explain them to others at the level
required to communicate the salient points without the complexity is very
important.
The ideal candidate would be gaining industry recognition as
an expert and have a strong network of contacts to team with.
Required Skills:
¥ 15+ years relevant experience
¥ Degree or equivalent in Engineering and/or
Statistics/Mathematics
¥ Expert with statistical, metric variance analysis, data
analysis and process modeling in a large, complex, global organization.
¥ Detail-oriented, proficient in collaborating with
cross-functional teams, have the ability to perform detailed data analysis and
possesses strong statistical skills.
¥ Solid understanding of engineering product development
cycles and trade off between techniques
¥ Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and
policies in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criterion for
obtaining results
¥ Demonstrated ability to explain complex topics to
non-specialists
¥ Communicates well with all levels of management
¥ Demonstrated proactive team member and leader
¥ Highly skilled in Excel use, including macro creation and
Visual Basic usage
¥ Experience using Unix and writing shell scripts, Microsoft
Excel pivot tables and Microsoft PowerPoint
¥ Demonstrated experience with Change Management and bug
query tools (External)
¥ General knowledge of using web tools and posting data to
web-sites (web-site creation and modification is a plus)
¥ Deals well with change of direction and focus
¥ Commits to deliverable and is timely in their delivery R865400
